Server Hack Restore

Due to the recent compromise of a server, we reloaded the Operating System and the server’s full functionality has been restored. If any customer has an issue with their website related to the hack, please submit a ticket or talk to a tech online at our support page.

The hack which was implemented wrote over files containing the words index, default, main, and home. If images contained those words, the files do not render in web browsers. Propaganda in a foreign language was put on pages delivered to web browsers. In all cases where we could, these files were replaced.

It’s important to note that if your website serves a hacked page at this point, it is most likely that this page was not restored. If you have a backup locally, simply upload the correct file to the server. If you do not have a backup, submit a support ticket as soon as possible and we will see if we can restore the page. In many cases, we’ve been able to do so, but not in all.

Since the reload, the server in questions is performing above average. If you have any issues with your account, please submit a support ticket and we’ll respond as quickly as possible.
